Dance Your Heart Out

Also remind yourself that life is only as good as your mindset allows it to be. ☻

〰️ more thoughts for me look back on 〰️

I really couldn’t be more excited about @steezystudio having such a rad platform! I have been asking the Universe for this for quite some time because I have been missing dance classes. I used to go to @tiffftom in town, but my schedule is pretty hectic with the path I’m on right now.

Anyone that knows me very well knows that one of the best parts of my life living in Oakland was going to my hip hop class with @momolebeau. It was a time when I felt most alive – moving my body to his choreo for an hour! John would come too, and we had a blast watching each other dance.

It was fun watching my progress and truly being able to surrender on a different mind-body level. When I allow my body to organically move, there is a deeper mind-body connection that awakens.

It also comes from a place of non-attachment. Now, I consider dance a form of movement to help me when I’m stuck (or imbalanced) in my sacral chakra. It’s all about moving my energy up, up, up, and up & building my aura.

When I dance, I incorporate both my masculine and feminine energies, and with that awareness I can bring up various emotions that pour out into either positive or negative self-talk.

For me, there are two ways I look at myself in the mirror when I’m dancing
1. I judge myself and put myself down for looking silly & beat myself up for not moving “a certain way.”
Or…
2. I smile and celebrate my body being able to move and enjoy the energy exchange from my teacher & I allow myself to have fun, be sexy and embrace my beautiful body.

Nowadays, I lean towards the latter because I am confident in my own skin, and I really give zero f*cks about what other people think of me. I’m just here to have fun, move my energy, and get a little cardio in.

Pretty liberating — to finally feel free mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.

Thank you Samantha Caudle for your her vibrant energy & teaching. Big love for all the growth that is happening to myself from the inside out.❤️
