My High Vibe Journey
In the summer of 2017, I had an epiphany after my mediation practice. I was awake, aligned, and aware of all of the high vibrations that were flowing through me. I felt at peace, grounded, and calm yet I was in a totally blissed out state. I had never experienced something like this in my life, even with my previous meditation sessions (I had started practicing meditation in 2015, thanks to my boyfriend taking a mindfulness class and introducing me to it). I knew that the high vibrations I was feeling was due to my meditation practice! Click. a Lightbulb.
At that time, I believe I had struck gold and had found the ultimate key to living my daily life filled with peace of mind, joy swimming through my veins, a sense of ease and grace with a resting bliss face. I felt grounded, grateful, and overflowing in love. I started to meditate more and more, outside of my yoga practice. I used my mediation application, insight timer, which became the foundation of my meditation practice. This application helped transform my life and deepen my meditation skills.
Looking back to the beginning of my yoga journey, I believe yoga became mindful movement for me. This then sparked an interest for me to begin meditating more and more in a seated form — because I felt that connection through the movement and breathing I was doing in yoga. I believe that there is a vortex you can enter when you practice true breath to movement sequences in yoga. Your breathing becomes the focus (which is the meditation part), and then the physical form of the exercise (which is the posture or the transitions in-between postures) comes next.
I eagerly took on the challenge of slowing down my mind to fine tune my meditation practice. I would sit for 9-12 minutes at a time, listening to various meditations. Some would focus on grounding yourself through a visual example, others would focus on opening your heart and gracefully dropping in positive affirmations. Other meditations were focused on balancing a chakra and had you chant a word throughout your meditation. Some days clicked seamlessly. Other days, meditation felt like a struggle. However, I know every single time I took time to meditate was worth it.
What I believe the goal of meditation is actually quite simple. Meditation will lead to more happiness, joy, empowerment, and feeling of complete peace that transforms into bliss. Meditation is self-care the every human soul needs. The shame is that not everyone has this awareness of this capability that we all possess. We all have the tools to be able to fill our own hearts full of radiant energy so we can share our best self with the world. But how you may ask? Where is the time? Begin with 5 minutes. Then build. You will start to crave more and more time tapping into this space. I promise you. Plan ahead and make this a priority, just as you do brushing your teeth in the morning. Set aside 5-10 minutes of your day to sit your bum down morning, afternoon, or night (or maybe all three, but the earlier the better) to tap into your higher consciousness. This place is pleasant, peaceful, full of love and joy. This place is grateful, grounded, and present. This place is aligned with your higher self and will show you in ways that you sometimes cannot put words to, as it’s more of a feeling. When the unexplainable actions take place, you will know exactly what experience I am talking about.
Things will start shifting, start transitioning. Notice it. Tune into it. Growth and evolving will begin to happen more and more in your life. Take time to notice this process, because this is part of your journey and transition into a more mindful, high vibrational life. What I want the entire world to know and begin to truly understand is that we all possess this ability to fire up our neural networks to reach ultimate happiness. It is my ultimate goal and dream to be able to share my experiences in my spiritual journey to help others start or continue their transformation to live a high vibrational life.
When 2018 rolled around, it was my personal goal to start meditating every day in the morning because I knew that the sooner I began to meditate, the sooner I would rewire my brain, so I would sift out all of the cobwebs that no longer served my best purpose. Of course life happened, and there would be days that I would go without meditating. That led me to creating my mind, body, and soul challenge. This challenge was to be done every day, for the rest of my life. I would connect to my mind (through meditation), my body (through exercise), and my soul (through gratitude) every single day. Not only was I creating a lifelong daily habit for myself, I was creating what I believed should be a baseline habit for any person incorporating self care into their lives. Which, in my opinion, should be every single soul on this planet. We have to fill our own tanks first to be able to fully support, empower, and love those around us.
Once I started to check in with all three areas every single day, I felt more centered and connected to my authentic self. I would feel the miracles around me happening. I would appreciate the present moment and feel gratitude flowing from my heart. I was so in-tune to how this feeling — being connected to a deeper purpose — was the reason I would crave more and more time meditating. More time connecting. More time aligning. More time spent in alignment with my highest self and recognizing deep down that I am love and peace.
Knowing my personal Sankalpa (I am spreading kindness and compassion) has helped with my transformation to living a high vibrational life. I kept track of my progress through my journal, planner, books I was reading, notes on my phone, word documents on the computer, blog posts, and sharing my high vibe on Instagram. Essentially, my personal “evidence” of alignment was kept all over the place. On certain blissed out days, I would either post certain emojis on my Instagram or I would put stickers in my planner (which I am actually still doing now). Nowadays, all I want to do is enjoy the present moment when I reach a blissed out state instead of trying to share it with the world. I’m still learning the balance of this.
In 2019, it is my absolute goal to continue my high vibrational journey and to evolve and share along the way. I feel as though I have found my own truth in life, and now the scary part is happening – trying to figure out how to share what I’m passionate about to help others that will eventually bring me financial abundance. Whoa! Yes, I just said that out loud. Law of Attraction is real! It is my dream to be able to share my experiences in my spiritual journey to help others start or continue their transformation to live a high vibrational life. I would love to continue to create blog posts, but maybe podcasts and a book will be in my future. I know that I am only in the beginner stage of this life, so I’m going to keep listening to my intuition and continue to grow.
This year, I hope to attend yoga workshops, yoga retreats, and SUP teacher training. I want to grow my yoga practice not only as a student but as a teacher as well. I am over the moon grateful for Alo Move’s content. I have already practiced verbally cuing 2 new flows (thank you Briohny Smith), and I’m stoked for all of the future flows I will learn to teach. I would love to be able to teach more classes, whether that is substituting or eventually picking up more classes at my studio or gym. I would also love to be able to go to a conference that Sadhguru speaks at and get certified in sound healing. I’ve also have had this personal goal looming over my head for years to be able to speak Spanish. Will this year be the year? Maybe not fully, but I want to be able to speak simple phrases and understand more than what I have as a baseline right now.
This is my year to listen to my intuition and take everything day by day. This is my year to slow down to be able to truly acknowledge and appreciate the present moment. This is my year to expand as a soul in a human body. I know deep down in my bones that this is the year where I begin to develop a deeper understanding for own path. It’s the year I step into a new light, to walk, speak, and live my truth. Can I just say that I am totally stoked? Because I am.
Namaste.
